Fast File Uploads and Downloads
Working with the File Manager feels like working with your desktop computer. The in-built drag-and-drop functionality will enable you to easily transfer files between your PC and the web server. Just select the file that you would like to upload from your desktop PC and then drag it over to your browser. The same goes for downloading a file from the File Manager to your personal computer. Plus, you can download files and even folders to your hard disk drive by pressing the Download button.
Easy File Editing Options
With the File Manager graphical user interface, you can create a new file or folder with only a single click. All action buttons are conveniently placed above the file/folder list and you can edit your files without difficulty. You can rename or copy a file, move a file to a different folder, view the contents of a file or change its permissions, delete a file, etc.
Handy Archive/Unarchive Functionality
With the File Manager, you will be able to zip and unpack all types of files. It does work remarkably fast - just select the files you would like to archive and push the Compress button. You can even select the type of the new archive (.rar, .zip, and so on). It is just as easy to extract files from an archive to a selected directory.
File Editors
With the File Manager GUI, you really do not need any third-party pieces of software to update your files. There is an image viewer, which allows you to preview the contents of your image files to get an idea of how the images will in fact appear on your site. Besides, you will find an array of in-built file editors, which will give you total control over your files. The plain text editor and the code editor are designed for more experienced individuals, while the WYSIWYG editor (where you can view all HTML code changes in real time) is also suitable for technically inexperienced individuals.
